What Is a Winning Mindset

What is a winning mindset

Mindset has become a hot topic for those in the know. It appears in Personal Development and Self Help books and courses frequently. But what is a winning mindset?

Google  says:

  • People with winning mindset believe that they can achieve their dream life. It takes courage to believe and once you started believing in your dreams, no one can stop you from achieving it. Successful people believe while other people are doubting. As it is said, “Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will”.

The Importance Of A Winning Mindset

Most people do not have a winning mindset. They are content to let life take them in whatever direction it decides and stay firmly within their comfort zone.

But are they really content with this?

Invariably the answer is no. They will talk about starting a business of one sort or another, maybe even do a little research but it stays as a ‘maybe some day’. There are always a myriad of reasons not to do it.chnge your mindset change your life

But those people don’t really want to make the effort required. They prefer to be busy watching programs or films on TV, spending time on social media or even sitting around wishing they had a better lifestyle.

If you want a better life, then you work on that mindset as much as you work towards your goals. A winning mindset is more than half the battle when you want to achieve success.

The scions of industry didn’t say “I must watch this week’s episode of ….. ” anything! Or “I will start that next week” “I will begin tomorrow” or any other excuse. They got started and worked hard.

The Traits Of A Winning Mindset

The best way to develop a winning mindset is to understand and emulate the traits that a person with a winning mindset possesses. Successful people all have similar traits that enable them to realise their goals and never hand over even when the going gets really rough. They know that mindset matters.
Lets look at the commonest traits of people with a winning mindset. You can compare these traits with your own and develop and improve any that you are lacking.

Action

Most people want everything handed to them on a plate. They believe that they’re simply entitled to the great things in life and that they don’t want to place any effort in to urge them. This is why numerous people are in massive debt because they use their credit cards to urge what they need immediately .action. What is a winning mindset
With a winning mindset you will know that this is not the way to do things. You need an idea and need to take massive action to realize your dreams. Taking action on a day to day towards your goals will bring you the success that you simply crave. And then it’ll be time to form your next dream come true.

Make a Start

You have the idea and then immediately get started. You know that time is a very precious commodity and there’s no better time to start out than immediately. Also, you know that starting a specific project enables you to create momentum which will help you to finish the project.
You don’t wait around for anyone or anything else to make a start. You don’t spend years planning, refining, researching and doing more planning. That is for dreamers, they don’t tend to ever get anything off the ground, it all stays on paper and is something to talk about doing, one day.

Nope, that winning mindset has you moving towards those goals from day 1.

Prioritising

You can’t do everything at once. People with winning mindsets often have a number of ideas and things that they want to achieve. But they know that they have to prioritise so as to use their time most efficiently.
So write down an inventory of things that you simply want to realize then prioritize them. Is there something on the list that’s causing tons of stress for you? If there is then tackle this first. Next pick something easy to work on. The reason for selecting something easy instead of something difficult is that it’ll build momentum.

Focus

It is extremely easy to urge distracted in today’s world. Most people have social media accounts and their phones are constantly alerting them to an update.Focus

People with winning mindsets specialise in what must be done and are rarely distracted. Distractions cause procrastination which you would like to avoid in the least costs.
Some distractions are necessary. So if you’ve got been distracted for a crucial reason then you would like to refocus on your task. Any time that you simply lose focus just refocus again and obtain back to it.

Committed to learning

You will not only want,  you will have a need, to learn something new each day. Your education didn’t stop when you left school or college. Nor did it stop once you learned the way to do your job efficiently. You are a life learner and discovering new things is one of your strong suits.

You constantly search out new knowledge that will keep you moving forwards to reach and surpass your goals.

Challenges

You are always striving to improve yourself.

Constantly pushing at the boundaries of your comfort zone and are never satisfied that you have done enough. Most people are afraid to try to do things that they need never done before. With a winning mindset though, you relish the challenge of new things and actively seek out more challenges.

Positive

You see the glass half full rather than half empty. There are opportunities all around you and you grab them with both hands. You take full responsibility for your life and never blame anyone else for where you’re today.positive mindset

Your outlook is always positive and you believe in yourself and your future.

Persistence

Persistence means never giving up. If your world is crumbling around you then you keep right on going.

When you give up you send the wrong signals to your subconscious mind. Continuing to move forward in the face of adversity sends the proper signals. It says you aren’t giving up or even slowing down, that you will power through regardless. Work on your persistence all the time.

Review

When you have an excellent idea it’s natural that you simply are going to be very excited and need to require massive action to get things going. This is fine but at some stage you need to ensure that things are moving in the proper direction. It is pointless to stay on a path that leads to a dead end.

Review your progress regularly in order to make any necessary adjustments if needed.

Organisation

Are you organised? Do you know where things are on your computer and in your home? Is your desk organised, does everything have a place so that you can reach out at any time and put your hand on what you need?

In the long run, being organised saves a lot of time and effort. It’s pointless to spend half your time looking for files or folders when having everything in it’s proper place for when they are required, can make life so much easier.

Quitting

That winning mindset drives you forward all the time. However many obstacles rise up in your way, despite exhaustion and anything else that tries to stop you, you keep going. Quitting is never an option! If it briefly rears it’s head, it is dismissed almost instantly because you know you will succeed.

What is a Winning Mindset?

So are you any the wiser? Do you feel that you have a winning mindset?

Do you agree with any or all of my points? Do you have any that you think should be included? What do you do to keep yourself focused and moving forwards?

Do we really know and understand a winning mindset. I think its probably a bit different for each person. I don’t believe it’s something a person thinks about on a daily basis either. They either have it or they don’t.

You can change your behaviour and make new habits but it does take time and effort. Many want to change but few actually continue to work on themselves.

Are you determined to be a success and prepared to make the extra effort involved?

Your Future Self will Thank You

Yoiur future self will thank you

How do I know and what for?

BIG questions those!

What could your future self thank you for?

Lot’s of things I suppose. Getting fit, eating more healthily, investing or saving money, buying and old house and doing it up ….. and there are loads more. There is also a massive one.

Your future self will thank you for this

Really? Honestly? What is it?

How about investing in YOURSELF?

Nope, I haven’t gone nuts, I want to help YOU!There are no limits

Why would you do this when everything is in turmoil. Jobs are disappearing everywhere and Covid-19 is still ravaging populations, countries are going in and out of lockdown or facing tough restrictions. Does this seem like a time to be spending money on yourself?

Why not? Do you or will you spend in the sales?  Those are only material things! They will decline over time until they no longer work or are no longer useful.

Investing in yourself, to learn how to create and grow a business online is an excellent investment.  Growing your knowledge base is a good thing regardless of what you plan to do. Learning for a specific reason is better still and learning how to create and grow your own business, will create a better future for you. A job that means you can work from anywhere, including traveling but especially from the safety of your home in these strange times.

Why would I want to?

The world has changed a lot in the last year. I think we can all agree on that. More businesses are moving online as that is where the customers are now.

Started by the first Lockdown of the Pandemic this has now become an increasing trend. Employees had to work from home and bosses found that rather than skiving off, most workers got far more done. With no commute and no office distractions, it was easier to get more done and still have extra time for themselves and their family.

Now many Offices are considering downsizing or doing away with premises, it makes sense. Meetings are easily held online for workers and clients, so workplaces become obsolete.

Even many chain stores have gone out of business in recent months as they focused on the bottom line rather than the customer. They too in many cases have moved online.

Do you see where this is going?

Businesses are growing their online presence, new businesses are springing up, more people are signing up for training and this will only continue to grow.

There is no better time to get started than NOW!

Is it hard work?

YES!

You will be learning and creating the business as you go along, so yes it will be hard work but you can do this at your own pace.

If you are working at a JOB (See HERE) then you will have less time than someone who either has no job or has been furloughed for now.

The more time you spend learning and building your business the sooner you will begin to earn. BUT this is a marathon, not a sprint. Missing out on training or cutting corners on the work just means there is no solid foundation for your business. What you really want is to build it properly so it lasts and grows.

There will be times when you wonder why you started and if you should give up. Times when you think you will never get the hang of it. I did but I kept going and suddenly it was easier. Suddenly everything I had learnt and was still learning, slotted into place. The writing got easier and everything flowed. Talking to others it seems to be that way for most people.

What about the quick & easy programs?Warning Scam Alert. Your future self will thank you.

Well if you have already been tempted into one of those you know from experience that none of it is true. Most of us have seen them and their hype.

This is a pricier one! Often thousands of pounds/dollars.

“Live the laptop lifestyle”

“2 hours a week/4 hours a week/1 day a week”

“Start earning in 24/48 hours”

“All it takes is a few clicks and that’s it”

“So simple you can do it even with no experience at all”

You don’t get even a glimpse inside, often just a video showing someone beside an expensive car or working from a counter top in a huge empty kitchen devoid of any signs of life. But you do hear about a lot of numbers, their earnings and possible ones for you.

They don’t say this is my car or house but it is implied to make you think that you too can be living that lifestyle very quickly.

Cheaper ones! Usually less than 30 pounds/dollars.

“Quick and easy”

“Simple to use”

“3/2 clicks and you are done”

“So easy even a newbie can do it”

“earning within hours”

This one will often do a bit of a run through, enough to make you think it actually works.

With both, the minute you pay the first money you get upsells. Very often, especially with the cheaper ones and often with the more expensive ones, you actually need the upsells to make it work.

Getting a refund?

Not as easy as they make out. Most people give up, some run out of time because the refund is only 30 days. The rest try it and by the time they realise it does not do what it said on the box, the guarantee time has run out anyway.

Most then chalk it up to experience. Which means for the original seller they have made their money and most of the time couldn’t care less that you have lost yours.

You will then get bombarded with emails trying to get you to buy the next “Sure thing moneymaker”.

So What is best to do?create your future

It is better to go to a reputable company. Never take one person’s word for it though, look around. Check out a variety of views on anything before you buy. Yes some reviews will be good and some bad, if so check further.

Even for a good company, some will bend the truth implying that you can earn sooner than you actually can. A very few can start earning in a matter of months but for most it will take at least a year if not longer.

I recommend the company I am with because for the amount you pay, you get a lot in return. Plus, a big bonus is: NO Upsells.

They also allow you to join for FREE and have a good look around to see what is on offer. Essentially, what you will get for your money. A legitimate company does this because they have nothing to hide.

What do you get?

Read this post about Wealthy Affiliate to see everything that comes with your membership. It was about a Black Friday offer which obviously has ended now but there are graphics to show you what is available in each membership.

Below is a few things you get.

A quick roundup:

10 websites:

You might think that is a lot but over time you are very likely to use them as you expand your business. Some even use extra ones for clients’ websites they run.

Free SSL

From digicert.com:

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer and, in short, it’s the standard technology for keeping an internet connection secure and safeguarding any sensitive data that is being sent between two systems, preventing criminals from reading and modifying any information transferred, including potential personal details. (I did not know this, so I have learned something new today)Your future self will thank you.

Site support:

Which I can vouch for as excellent because I have used them a lot. They are fast to respond and excellent at fixing pretty much anything in a very short amount of time. Most things are dealt with in less than 30 minutes. Another platform I am on takes 2 weeks each time to respond even when its a security issue. Obviously I am going to bring that website to Wealthy Affiliate too. I had signed up for 2 years days before I found and joined Wealthy Affiliate, otherwise it would have already been moved.

Community:

An international community from the far flung corners of the Earth. This means there are always people there to answer questions, to chat and give advice.

There is also a vast range of age and knowledge from the members too. Very useful when you get stuck. Sometimes I found I just didn’t “get” something. I would read it over and over, watch it on a video but somehow it was still a mystery. So I would ask the community. There was always a variety of answers which is great as at least one will resonate and give you that light bulb moment.

Training:

I have surprised myself here because I usually put this first, mainly because I love to learn. There is core training 1-5 levels with 50 lessons.

Available also is Bootcamp training 1-7 levels with 70 lessons.

On top of that is training by other members too. When they find a newer or better way of doing something through trial and error, they add it as training for others to use. If you love learning new stuff like me, it is very easy to get lost in jumping from one training to another, I did just that for the first 3 months until someone wrote a blog post about shiny object syndrome made me realise what I was doing.

Yes I did learn new stuff but I was supposed to be going through the official training to get my business foundations built.

You do have to learn to be focused, it is easy to get distracted at times.

My Recommendation!

I do wholeheartedly recommend Wealthy Affiliate because I think its a great platform. Whatever type of online business you want it can teach you how to do that. You can also try different things to see how you get on. Like dropshipping. I did research, sort of gave it a try but never really got it up and running. At that point I was trying to do too many things at once. wealthy affiliate starter membership

There are so many different directions you can go in. Some do coaching, others do dropshipping, there are affiliate marketers with every niche you can think of, those that run websites for clients. We have authors and people that create and sell courses, more that run courses and so very much more.

The online world is your oyster. You can learn to build a business from the ground up. Give it a solid foundation to grow on and eventually perhaps, pass it on to your children.

Isn’t that something your future self will thank you for?

What are you waiting for?

Go and have a look round. At worst all you will have wasted is a little time, at best it will give you an amazing future.

The future is YOURS you decide where it goes! Try  WEALTHY AFFILIATE NOW!

What does Success mean

What does Success mean

Success, like happiness, is an individual pursuit. What does success mean? For years, we have been taught that success is all about making a lot of money. But now things are changing, some think of success as money but many are moving away from that definition. What definition does a dictionary give?

From Dictionary.com

  • the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one’s goals.
  • the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like.
  • a performance or achievement that is marked by success, as by the attainment of honors: The play was an instant success.
  • a person or thing that has had success, as measured by attainment of goals, wealth, etc.: She was a great success on the talk show.

As you can see the definitions aren’t just about money.

What we are taughtMoney equals success What does Success mean

We were taught that success equals money and this is what we have inadvertently taught our children and in turn, they too will pass on the same to their children. You might never have heard your parents speak about success but isn’t it true that they often encouraged you to become a Lawyer, Doctor or enter into a similar profession, long before you were old enough to know what you are good at?

Why do you think this is the case? The prominence associated with these jobs may only be part of the reasons we subtly push our children in that direction. But for the most part, it is the money that they find attractive. Even if they or their children are accomplished within their respective areas of expertise but are struggling financially, they find it hard to regard this as a success.

The result of that teaching

The result of this kind of thinking is a society of people who are unhappy, depressed or underachieving because they are stuck in a career they hate or miserable because they can never live up to the unrealistic expectations set for them. Just think about all the wealthy celebrities you know that have committed suicide or are fighting hard to recover from an addiction of some sort, drugs, alcohol, painkillers etc.

While being stable or even well off financially is often the result of much diligence and hard work, it is not the only true measure of success. There is no real satisfaction from being rich if you do not truly enjoy what you do. If you overwork, are stressed and often ill due to a job that brings in a lot of money, that is not a good life.

If you are struggling to make ends meet however, it is only natural to want a better life for yourself and your children.

But when your happiness and even the affection you have for your children is hinged solely on wealth or material possessions, that is not a good place to be in.

What really makes a person successful?

Here is what some of the greatest minds of this century have to say on the matter.

  • “Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.”– Zig Ziglar
  • “However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.” – Stephen Hawking
  • “The starting point of all achievement is desire.” – Napoleon Hill

As you can see, each one has their own opinions about the boundaries within which we define success. That is because success means totally different things to different people. In fact, even those with great wealth may not see themselves as successful. There is, however, one common theme in these sayings. Success is no accident, it is achieved as a result of working hard at whatever you do.

So how do you achieve success?Hard work = success

It is impossible to become successful by just doing enough to get by. Anyone can be average. If your aim is to be successful, you must have such a burning desire to be first, to do more or even to do better, that it pains you stop working towards these goals. Your aspirations should greet you every morning and have you leaping out of bed to get started on your day.

And no matter what obstacle or obstacles appear, you will always keep telling yourself that you can’t and won’t stop. That giving up is not an option.

You will believe, no matter what, in what you are doing and know without doubt (well maybe a tiny occasional one) that you are going to be successful. You will know that your work/job/business/career will be successful but that success will be defined by YOU. This is the right mindset to have for success.

Motivation

That kind of burning desire is also known as motivation. It is the force that compels us to strive for success, helps us to unlock the full potential of our minds, keeps us continually focused on and committed to attaining our goals. Motivation is thus the universal key to success. It is impossible to have this kind of drive if you do not truly love what you do and if you are not confident enough to think you are able to do it well.

That is why it is so crucial for you to define success on your own terms. This is what I call your WHY! You have to know what your goals are and more importantly the reason you are doing it. When you get tired, when things don’t go well, when you are ready to give it all up, that is when your WHY will keep you going. It will take you that several steps further and past those feelings until you are once more riding the wave of self belief towards success.

Reach for your Dreamsfollow your dreams

No one else will make your dreams happen, they all have their own or are too busy wallowing in self pity at their miserable lives that are going nowhere. There are many that want a better life, that talk about success and how to achieve it but not so many that are prepared to make changes in their lives to achieve it.

If you want to reach for the stars, you and only YOU, can make it happen. If you have negative friends that try to dissuade you, then perhaps you need new friends.

Which achievement do you think is worth pursuing? Which accomplishment do you yearn to share with your children and grandchildren? That is the aspiration that will make you a success and you should never stop trying to make these dreams a reality. Realism is a very important aspect of being motivated to succeed.

Take those first steps. No one ever regretted the things they tried or did. Only the things they didn’t do or attempt.

Avoid Scams Online

Avoid Scams Online

Sadly there are many scammers out there just waiting to fleece you of your hard earned cash. Some are done so well and are so tempting that you want to believe it and don’t realise until you are already inside, money gone. Let’s help you to avoid scams online.

When you start out

It is easy to get caught when you are first looking at starting a business. The minute you click on anything to do with home based business on any platform the adverts will start coming at you. You thought those social media platforms policed that sort of thing? Nope! As long as they are paying for ads they don’t care what they put in it as long as it meets the guidelines for setting it up. Let’s face it, the scammers are skilled at creating ads that work, look good to draw you in and sound plausible.

There are many legitimate online businesses that you can buy into or associate yourself with but always check for potential problems. Read on for some things to look out for when starting a new business.

What to look out for!Avoid Scams Online

The first red flag

Is if there is a claim that you will get rich overnight or gain unbelievable wealth with almost no effort. If it seems unbelievable, it probably is.

Other common claims are:

  • Newbie friendly, a complete novice can do this.
  • Set up in 3 clicks.
  • Set up in 15/30 minutes, neither is plausible because if you check carefully there will be videos to watch.
  • You can start earning money within 2 hours, 6 hours, 24 hours or any other variation. In that short space of time, no one is going to know you are there, unless they are personally going to share your site everywhere with paid ads or on large social media accounts.
  • Already has content reviews. That of course is pointless as Google will see it as plagiarised content and not index it. Why? The same content will be on all the other sites that have just been sold. Unless of course you can alter it or add your own which usually means shelling out more cash.

Be sure to read user reviews from reputable websites and check consumer reporting publications and websites. With all the information available online, there is no excuse for being taken advantage of, although having said that, it is easy to be caught on the spur of the moment.

What else?

Some will show you a big house with an expensive car as ‘proof ‘ of the lifestyle you can live if you just buy that super duper ‘system’. Occasionally you see the person sitting at a kitchen table or worktop on their laptop, kitchen is huge, immaculately clean and not a personal item in sight usually. All very staged, these will usually be for the more expensive ‘systems’.  These types were very prevalent a year or two ago but not seen any for a while, though it doesn’t mean they aren’t there targeting new users.

Remain Sceptical

Never believe it when someone tells you that a business will practically run itself. It will not. The effort you put in will be directly proportional to the results that come out of it. Nothing will ever replace hard work, dedication and a vision for the future.

If you do affiliate marketing you will get passive income from sites that no longer need much doing to them, just a post a week perhaps to keep them going. But by then you will have others you are bringing along to the same point.

Testimonials

If you read testimonials that are glowing and sound like they are coming straight from a script – they probably are. It is quite likely that these people have been paid to say the things they are saying, or they may even be total fabrications. Ask for direct contact numbers for anyone claiming to vouch for the business opportunity, and ask them specific questions that they would only be able to answer if they were actually real business owners who had used the product and sold it to clients.

Plus if you see many of these selling pages you will start to see the same pictures and names.

Upfront PaymentScam

Be very wary of anyone who asks for a large upfront investment of cash, especially if it is nonrefundable. Ask questions about “free trial” periods, making sure to read the fine print. These offers will often require you to give a credit card upfront, which will be charged the entire fee for buying into the business. Then if you have issues or do not want to continue, you can request a refund of this fee. You can bet that it will not be easy at all to ever get this refund. If they are genuinely offering a free trial, then it should be free, with no upfront cost whatsoever.

Can’t Look, Don’t Pay

There are many that don’t allow a look inside until you pay, this is usually because you wouldn’t bother and would run the other way feeling you had a lucky escape. So if you can’t look inside without giving a credit/debit card first, don’t bother. Legitimate platforms/sites have nothing to hide and willingly let you spend time there. The one I am on, Wealthy Affiliate, gave you some free training too and I built a website and talked to members of the community. When they are legitimate they know that once you have a look round and see what is on offer, if you are serious about starting a business, then you will want to join up for even more training and everything else you get. See this blog post HERE if you are interested in seeing it.

Don’t be pushed

Never give in to high pressure tactics and immediately cut off communication with anyone who tries to reel you in this way. It is indicative of desperation and an attempt to get you signed up before you can realize the flaws and inherent dangers in the program or the product. They may also be trying to get you to “sign on the dotted line” before reading the small print and the required commitment. Always take as much time as you need to think it over and to determine whether it is the right business for you.

If they start pushing hard, back away, anyone legitimate doesn’t push if they know what they have is worthwhile.

What do you think?

Do you think you will recognise the scams now? I hope so. Always remember though, “if it sounds too good to be true it probably is”.

Forewarned is forearmed, so you can go forwards now and get that business started or move forwards with your new business. Have to say though when you are overworked and still waiting for that first commission or sale they can be hard to resist. Be strong.

Enjoy your new business and your new life.

Common Business Mistakes

Common business mistakes

We are talking Home based online businesses here. There are many common business mistakes that people make here are a few key ones.

Many people love the idea of working from home running their own home-based business. While it’s a growing field and very lucrative, there are certain things you need to watch out for as you get started. Once you get the idea it’s easy to get carried away and rush into it.

When I started my first online business 10 years ago, I thought I just had to open a shop on a big site and that was it. You know how it goes, display my goods and the sales would pour in. Boy was I mistaken!

Decisions

First off

What are you going to sell? Actual goods that you will buy and sell on or goods you make yourself which is crafting. If crafting it is what you are making and selling.Decisions Common Business Mistakes

Dropshipping is another option. You display a company’s goods of your choice on your website, when a customer orders and pays, you then send that order to the company. They package and post it.

There is affiliate marketing which is a massively growing market.

Buying and selling domains.

Creating websites and managing them for clients …… and the list goes on.

Take your time

Just don’t get too hasty when selecting a product, service, or company to sign up with. You want to make sure you investigate thoroughly and have chosen a good option for you to pursue. Research is very important for any venture.

Once you have decided on a direction you need to decide whether you will hire people to set things up or do it yourself. If doing it yourself do you need training? Is it worth investing in yourself and paying for training which will pay dividends in the future and save on costs in the long run.

Just because you have selected the right company or product doesn’t seal the deal. You’re going to want to in order to make your business a reality. What is it going to take to get things off of the ground. What does your competition look like? Again, it’s research and more research.

Investing

First of all, will be the time investment required to get your business off the ground and make it grow. Businesses need investment of time and moneyHow much time you invest will be the difference in how quickly it grows and how soon it makes money.

You will also have to invest some money into your business opportunity, but you have to operate off of a budget. Have you worked out the costs. Website hosting, domain name buying, maybe a better laptop. If selling goods there will be packaging costs, besides the buying or making costs. A printer for invoices and address labels, with that comes the need for ink, paper, labels etc.

Many people get started and stake too much money from the beginning. This is a mistake.

Still, other people get their business going and decide that they don’t want to invest money when it comes time. This is also a mistake, as it could be what’s holding them back from getting things really going.

It’s great when things get going, but if you don’t have a record of it, you’re going to regret it. All outgoings and incomings must be noted and logged. You must make sure you keep well organised records, both for business purposes and tax purposes. This is extremely important.

Finances

Another common mistake that many people make is not separating their personal finances from your business finances. This is quite a major mistake as you could either end up underpaying or overpaying on tax. Finance Neither is good especially if they decide to randomly check YOUIR business. This has to be done correctly from the start or you’re going to have everything confused and disorganised.

Some people are soft when they start out, and they don’t operate with proper business sense. They are so anxious to get started with customers that guess what? They aren’t charging enough for their products and services. This is quite common especially in the crafting community. By under charging you are doing a disservice to yourself and other craft businesses trying to make a living.

It’s wrong to undercharge for anything as you will struggle to make money and when you realise this and try to put up the prices the customers you have will go elsewhere. You need to work out  proper price and stick with it.

Another mistake is continually having sales. Why? Because your customers that like your products will just wait for the next sale, knowing that once things are slow you will have a sale. How do I know? I made that mistake. Then when I complained on a forum that I only sold things when having a sale, another crafter said, it’s simple,  stop having sales! So I did and put up my prices which were too low and it went upwards from there.

It’s that old favourite again, research. Look at the options, look at what they charge and what you get for your money.Your Website is Important. Build an amazing showcase!

Check around with other website owners. What is the support like, do they respond quickly? Do they actually fix problems? Are they easy to contact? Is the site easy to  use and set up with what you want? So much to know!

Many people fail to employ search engine optimization strategies and techniques as well. No one said you have to do it all yourself. Keep in mind though that it costs money to get someone to do it for you, unless you have a friend that can do it for free or cheaply. It is mandatory in order for people to see your site; it’s just part of the action. Good SEO means Google will index and move your site up the ranks so it gets seen better.

So you must familiarise yourself with the market, and you might be surprised at just how much you can do on your own.

Your business site needs to be easily navigable and very user-friendly.

I recommend Wealthy Affiliate. I would use them for hosting alone as it is very secure you get the use of ten sites, the support is fast and very good at fixing any problem rapidly. The training provided is top notch and the community is excellent.
