Wealthy Affiliate a 5 month Review

How is Wealthy Affiliate doing?

Well I promised to let you know sooner how I was getting on here at Wealthy Affiliate but the time has flown and its 5 months since I joined. So I decided to do this post now, ‘Wealthy Affiliate a 5 month review.’

So how is Wealthy Affiliate doing so far?

I would say, extremely well.

I knew there was a lot of training but had no idea there was as much as there is. If you think of a subject to do with online business however obscure I am pretty sure it will be there. All I need is 72 hours in a day to be able to make a dent in it all in the next year.Wealthy Affiliate a 5 month Review Girl reading

Think I am kidding? I am definitely not! I love learning new stuff, the more the better but this lot will take me years to get through.

Did I mention that long term members are always adding new training too?

Oh yes they are!

I knew the community was good, it is so much better than good and that too has surpassed expectation.

There is always help available, questions are always answered and inspiring stories are everywhere.

And what about the site support? Is it the usual thing on most sites, a few days or more to respond?  NOPE!!!

Every time I get stuck and ask, its usually because I have done something I shouldn’t have, they sort it out for me. Took a while the other day ………… 20 Minutes!

I know unbelievable!

So, how am I doing?

I got rather carried away at the start. It was rather like the shiny object syndrome, where you want everything you see. I was doing random training by various people on the site because it was there and looked exciting or was something I felt was important to know or needed to know…. or just because.

Reading blogs by other members made me realise it was quite common, like a child being let loose in a sweet shop.

I still learnt a lot, just not what I needed to know right then but it was fun.

Wealthy Affiliate a 5 month Review 1  Then I started chasing numbers, namely the ranking numbers.

I have no idea what that was on when I started because I didn’t notice it then.

By the time I stopped doing every training going, I was reading loads of blogs, commenting and writing my own blogs on the site. It was fun and other people’s experiences are interesting and informative.

Then a comment was made about rank and I noticed it, about 47,000 at that point. I gathered it was interaction on the site that did it but thought you had to do a bit of everything. I didn’t know enough to answer questions and felt too new to help others, seemed rather presumptuous. So I just carried on, doing some of the training building the first website, making the usual hash ups and learning ….. always learning.

Then suddenly I noticed the site rank had dropped to about 10,000, that was a big drop and I started to take more notice.  I forgot about my website and spent my time reading blogs and commenting, doing site comments on people’s websites and writing more onsite blogs too.

Now it was 7,000, very exciting and I redoubled my efforts. Then suddenly overnight it was 867! I was so shocked I wrote a post to ask if anyone else’s had plunged overnight and was there a site problem.

Apparently it was correct and I had lot’s of congratulations. Heady stuff.  I kept whittling it down right until I realised that I was doing very little training and very little on my website. Oooops!!

So I got more focused once I realised that though the numbers looked nice, they were doing nothing to help me towards my dream.

Time to focus again.

Wealthy Affiliate a 5 month Review 2 I got back to the training and back to working on my website. Full of renewed excitement I applied for and became an Amazon associate and they asked me to apply to be an influencer. I did and got it. Suddenly I had a shop on Amazon too. It was so much more to learn.

I had a look at other affiliate programme’s and signed up for a few of those too. Then I read a blog about waiting to apply to become an affiliate and it all made sense. I was overloading myself and spread too thin, wasn’t achieving much at all.

I refocused and did more training and worked on my website. The other affiliate programme’s would have to wait. I added more sites as new ideas for niches came to me and began to build those too. Well, the basics anyway.

Finally it was all becoming easier. The blog posts flowed more easily. I would start posts, writing ideas as they came to me and then later go back to them to flesh them out, Now I find the words flow so much more easily than at the beginning.

My site health is improving, everything is flowing more smoothly, I am confident that I can do this. My dream is well underway.

Do people earn money at Wealthy Affiliate?

They certainly do!

It’s not fast.

You won’t get rich overnight.

It’s NOT a get rich quick scheme.

But this BLOG  on the Wealthy Affiliate site, by a very successful member, shows you can. He is one of many who has been there for years and helps others towards their dreams by giving advice and writing inspirational posts.

There are many such blog posts that show the training works.

Some people don’t put in the effort needed and then give up complaining it doesn’t work!

Everything is there, all the tools, all you have to do is learn and apply.

Conclusion.

Wealthy Affiliate is working for me as well as many others.

It works for any age, from youngsters to the retired men and women working away to supplement pensions or just fund a better lifestyle. Works for all ages in between too.

I have websites up and running and I am getting through the training. I am probably slower than many as I have another online business I run and commitments in the real world by day too. It doesn’t matter though, what matters is that I keep going regardless.

5 months in and I love every minute of it. I have learnt so much and still have so much to learn, it’s wonderful.

Come and join me.

Would you like to give Wealthy Affiliate a try? Do what I did, sign up and try it for free.  You do NOT have to put a debit/credit card in to join, just fill in your details and have a go at the training open to you.

Look around, chat to people and start the training. At that point you will either panic and think it’s too much to learn or you will be filled with excitement at the possibilities and want to take it further.

Give it a try, what have you got to lose. Nothing except a bit of time.

  1. Hey, thanks for the informative post regarding Wealthy Affiliate! I’ve been looking for a legit training program like this. I’ve done some research aside from this post about affiliate marketing, and Wealthy Affiliate is the best bang for your buck. I’ve heard that membership at Wealthy Affiliate comes with all of the tools of the trade necessary to succeed in affiliate marketing. I’m interested in giving Wealthy Affiliate a try. I have to ask; Does Wealthy Affiliate equip you with a keyword search tool? Thanks again! -Josue

    • Hi Josh, thank you for reading and commenting. It took me many months of searching to find Wealthy Affiliate and having looked at so many ‘opportunities’ and ‘systems’ I can honestly say I haven’t seen so much excellent training anywhere.

It is certainly worth trying. I would always advise you to try the free version first, to ensure it is what you want. Could well be worth waiting for Black Friday deals if you have a tight budget and decide it is what you want to do.

There is a keyword search too, I use it a lot. There is a free and paid version but I only use the free version and found it excellent for what I need.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

  2. Wow! So great to read about your experience so far with wealthy affiliate. Definitely not everyone would make a whole lot of money in their earlier days but ten, acquiring the experience is all that matters and that is what you have got well. I have learnt well while on the platform too and I would have never learnt like that if I never joined the platform. Wealthy affiliate is a plus for me and would be glad to tell anyone about it.

    • Like you, I like to know how others are finding the experience. I love the success stories because it shows how well the training works.

I didn’t realise how little I knew until I got started with the training. Very few earn early on, I think it’s better to build a solid and lasting foundation for a business that will continue to do well for years to come.

Thank you for reading and commenting Rodarrick, all the best to you.
