Searching for online work is a journey

So…….. you have been searching for work online…….

You may have heard, like I did, that there are more and more jobs online. They increase as the real world ones disappear. Searching for online work is a journey you start out on and then it gets complicated.

You start out innocently, unaware of what`s out there. Yes there is work but much seems to be poorly paid. You can earn more as a writer but it takes time to build a up a good reputation

What did you find? There are an awful lot of so called ‘opportunities’ out there. How do you sort the wheat from the chaff? So many people have lost  money to those “opportunity’s”. By the time you have been looking for several months you can become very jaded and no longer recognise a genuine opportunity.

I did learn that if it said any of these: “You can be earning money within 24/48 hours. By the end of the week you will have earned thousands. Yes it seems to be expensive but you will earn that back in days.” Then you should  avoid them like the plague.

It`s not easy at all trying to find something legitimate.

Research

So you do research, click every link that`s relevant. Put in endless searches, read blogs that compare the different platforms. On Facebook every other post has now become an advert for that dream life. Click on one once and you get more of the same with slight variations touting the get rich quick scheme with the fabulous lifestyle.Sunny beach Searching for online work is a journey

Do they get bored sitting on a beach all day, every day. How do they manage to see their laptop screen with all that bright sun

You watch the endless free videos! They say… ‘You can earn mega money working online for 2 -3 hours a week’. Some say:

‘1-2 hours is all it takes’ and they sound very plausible.

You get to see the supposed earnings all laid out. Amazing.

There they are, on  a beach in Bali/Hawaii (those are favourites) or anywhere that looks idyllic. Sometimes you see several different ‘system’ videos and they all look alike, same beach, same people. Funny that, pretty sure they can’t be actors. Can they? Hmmm. Not real then if they are. More proof!

The other ones!

Or you see someone standing in front of a big house beside an expensive sports car……… Sound familiar? Yep, me too. Seen quite a few of those. The one where the guy is working away at a table in a big kitchen of what you are supposed to think is his house.

When you see one of those, check out the background. Very bland, nothing personal anywhere. It looks immaculate. Gosh, it wouldn’t be a film set would it? Or a country house/room in a hotel hired for a  few hours?

They always paint a picture of a wonderful life in far flung places, with or without families. Sitting on a beach, blue sky, a few fluffy tiny white clouds drifting, a beautiful view that shows where they are, a cocktail standing on the table. Oh and don’t forget the laptop there in full view.

Doesn`t that look and sound divine? Something to aspire to? All yours for so little effort, the picture with the laptop, sitting under a palm tree or parasol, a fabulous lifestyle. Yours , apparently, for the minimal effort of a couple of hours a week to attain and keep the lifestyle going.

Is it Real?

I thought it looked good, half  believed it, really wanted to believe it. It just didn’t quite ring true somehow. Especially the part about the hours required, I was prepared to work hard to achieve success. The trouble was, nothing more was offered to help you without paying out a small fortune. No glimpse of what was on offer for you to evaluate first. Could this be because there wasn’t any substance to it? I really didn’t know except there were alarm bells ringing in my head saying no!

Having spoken to others, I am so glad I didn’t override my intuition, otherwise I too would have been much poorer.

It was a lesson in human behaviour, my own and those offering their ‘system’.

Have you found anything interesting out there?

Have you wasted hours and lots of cash to follow the dream? Let me know, I would love to hear from you.

I was cautiously impressed, then decided to take up an offer of a month at half price, to see if it would live up to the first impression.

It did. I was very impressed with the quality of the training, the web hosting and the community.

I was so impressed I signed up for a year at the end of that first month because I knew that it was what I wanted to do.

You don’t have to only do affiliate marketing, you learn about loads more stuff than that. Whatever method you fancy running a business in, you can learn how and do it from one of the 10 websites available for you to use.

It is hard work, there is a lot to learn but the more you know, the easier it gets.

It costs absolutely nothing to look and evaluate. No card required to sign up.

You can even learn to build a wordpress website, like I did, with the free training. Now that was very exciting.
